“Blues You Can Use” by John Ganapes Evening Class – Instructor; Bill Uhler
Ever wonder while listening to a BB King, Robben Ford, Stevie Ray Vaughan solo how they always seem to hit the right note at the right time………..you know…….the sweet notes. Are you a beginner and do you have a desire to solo like the Kings ? Well then, this group class is for you.
- During this class we will focus on a simple way to learn where these notes lie, how to identify them and use them. There will be a little theory involved but the main focus will be on playing. The book “Blues You Can Use” by John Ganapes, will be used for the class curriculum.
- We will analyze songs like; BB King’s recording “ Ain’t That Just Like A Woman ” as well as Albert King’s “ The Sky Is Cryin ” and Freddie King’s “ Hide Away ”
- This class will be a 1-hour session held Tuesday evenings at 8 o’clock, beginning February 2nd. It is a continually run class and designed to allow new participants to start at anytime. To sign up for the class we require a four-week fee of $100.00 due upon registration. You can register for the class at The Music Gallery . Class size is limited to 8 persons.
Skill level required for this class is beginner to intermediate. Anyone interested in attending this class should have some chord knowledge and familiar with moveable bar chords.
