Dave Krater - Guitar and Bass Guitar.

 

Dave has been playing and performing on the guitar for over 32 years and has 20 years experience teaching the guitar. A classic rocker and shredder at heart, Dave teaches blues, rock, funk, finger style and country. He has a degree in Guitar from Musicians Institute in California.

 

Dave has appeared and performed on television on WGN's Channel 9 news program "Around Town", the WGN Channel 9 Mid-day news with Steve Sanders, CBS Channel 2 program "Technogadgets" and ABC 7's news program "The Best of Chicago Shopping". I have been a contestant in Guitar Center's King of The Blues Contest, Sam Ash Best In Shred Contest, Guitar Player Magazines Best Unknown Guitarist Contest and Guitar World Magazine Shred The Web Contest.

 

 

Sasha Brusin - Guitar and Bass Guitar

 

Sasha has been playing and studing guitar for 37 years and professionally performing since the age of 14, in the US and abroad. Successfully been teaching guitar and bass for the past 27 years, using a personalized lesson plan specifically tailored to bring each student inspiration and excitement in learning the instrument. It is a great joy to play the guitar well, and getting to that point should be just as much fun.

Bill Uhler - Guitar

 

For 40 years Bill is all about the blues. He lives and breathes it. From BB King to Freddie King to Stevie Ray Vaughan, Bill is a master of this genre. Bill also teaches rock, blues, jazz, country and acoustic finger style. He is also the director and instructor of of our very succesfull Adult Rock Band and Blues Band Classes.

 

Spencer "Spike" Johnson - Guitar, Bass Guitar and Drums

 

Spencer (Spike) Johnson has been playing and studying guitar and bass for over 15 years. He covers beginning guitar, beginning bass guitar and beginning drums lessons. He is also the director and instructor for our kids rock band classes. He currently plays in the Chicago based band "The Yolks". Spencer heads up our Kids Rock Band program where he rehearses student bands for performances. He teaches all styles and specializes in bass technique, songwritting, and working with children. Rick "The Professor" Gourley - Guitar and Bass Guitar

 

Has been teaching at The Music Gallery Academy for more than 25 years. Played bass and toured with Jump N' The Saddle band in support of their album and hit; "The Curly Shuffle". Has accompanied Peter in the duet, "Peter and The Professor" and played in many other projects. Life long devotion to the blues, influences include Peter Green, BB, Albert and Freddie King.

 

 

 

 

Jeff Kelly - Drums and Percussion

 

Is our resident drum instructor and drummer for the band Happy Butterfly Foot. He has also composed and produced songs for AE and The Discovery Channel.
